L0G1CA is a new communication campaign bringing together eleven leading players in the Italian logistics real estate sector to highlight the strategic importance of logistics and its contribution to the country’s economic, social and sustainable development. AKNO Group is among the companies promoting the initiative.

Telling the story of logistics from a new perspective, challenging common misconceptions and raising public awareness of a sector that plays a fundamental role in the economy and everyday life. These are the objectives of L0G1CA – Logistics Real Estate, the new communication and awareness campaign promoted by a group of companies affiliated with Confindustria Assoimmobiliare, with the patronage of Assologistica.

Among the eleven companies supporting the initiative is AKNO Group, which has been active in real estate development for over fifty years, designing and delivering innovative, efficient and sustainable Business Parks and logistics infrastructure.

The campaign was officially presented at the Green Logistics Expo at the Padua Exhibition Centre, a key event for discussing the future of sustainable logistics.

The initiative represents an important opportunity to highlight the role of the Italian logistics real estate sector and promote greater awareness of its contribution to business competitiveness, employment and regional development.

L0G1CA: An Entire Industry Joins Forces to Tell the Story of Logistics

L0G1CA was created through the shared commitment of some of the leading logistics real estate operators to develop a more comprehensive and informed narrative about the industry, reaching not only professionals but also citizens, institutions and younger generations.

The project brings together eleven companies operating across the entire logistics real estate value chain:

AKNO Group, Confluence, Dils, E2K, EQT Real Estate, Generali, LCP, Mileway, Prologis, SEGRO and SFRE.

These organisations bring different areas of expertise, specialisations and experience, united by their commitment to supporting the growth of a sector that is strategic to the national economy.

The initiative was promoted and supported by Confindustria Assoimmobiliare through its Logistics Working Group and has received the patronage of Assologistica.

For the first time, companies operating in the same market have chosen to speak with one voice to highlight the value of logistics real estate, its transformation, opportunities and future prospects.

Building Greater Awareness of the Value of Logistics

Over the past twenty years, the logistics sector has undergone a profound transformation, reflecting changes in markets, consumer behaviour and production models.

The expansion of e-commerce, the increasing complexity of supply chains and the growing focus on sustainability have progressively reshaped the role of logistics infrastructure.

Today, modern Business Parks are no longer simply facilities for storing and handling goods. They are strategic infrastructure assets that integrate technology, operational efficiency, environmental sustainability and high-quality working environments.

Communicating this evolution helps build a deeper understanding of the role logistics plays in contemporary society.

Logistics: The Invisible Engine of the Italian Economy

Every day, millions of products move through distribution networks, logistics centres and warehouses before reaching businesses, retailers and consumers.

From food and pharmaceuticals to industrial components and online purchases, logistics is essential to the functioning of the economy and the continuity of business operations.

Although often largely invisible to the public, this system is crucial to ensuring the availability of goods and supporting business competitiveness.

Logistics also contributes to promoting Made in Italy products, enabling Italian companies to reach domestic and international markets through increasingly organised and efficient distribution networks.

Alongside its economic importance, the sector also plays a significant role in employment, creating career opportunities ranging from operational management and real estate development to engineering and process digitalisation.

New Career Opportunities for Younger Generations

One of L0G1CA’s objectives is to introduce younger generations to an industry undergoing continuous transformation.

Modern logistics requires increasingly diverse and specialised skills, particularly in technological innovation, energy management, sustainability and the organisation of supply chains.

The sector therefore offers career prospects extending well beyond the activities traditionally associated with goods handling and warehousing.

Raising awareness of these opportunities helps reshape perceptions of logistics while highlighting its potential for growth and innovation.

Logistics Real Estate and Sustainability: Building Infrastructure for the Future

Sustainability is one of the central themes of the L0G1CA campaign.

Today, logistics real estate development must address environmental, social and economic challenges that require a long-term vision.

The design of new logistics hubs must consider not only the operational needs of businesses but also building energy efficiency, responsible resource management and the quality of spaces designed for people.

In this context, environmental certifications, energy-saving technologies and innovative design solutions are becoming increasingly important.

Developing modern, high-performance infrastructure can help improve logistics efficiency while generating long-term value for businesses and local communities.

AKNO Group’s Commitment to Developing Sustainable Business Parks

AKNO Group’s participation in L0G1CA reflects a development strategy centred on innovation, design quality and sustainability.

Through its Business Park division, the Group designs and develops real estate complexes for logistics and industrial activities, delivering solutions tailored to the needs of an evolving market.

This approach is reflected in the numerous projects completed and currently under development across Italy.

Among them is AKNO Nogarole Rocca Business Park, which has achieved BREEAM Very Good environmental certification, confirming the attention devoted to building sustainability performance.

Another example is AKNO Carobbio degli Angeli Business Park, the new logistics hub developed for Barcella Elettroforniture, part of the Marigliano Group, through a tailor-made project designed to meet the client’s specific operational requirements.

These developments demonstrate AKNO Group’s commitment to advancing logistics real estate through efficient, innovative and future-oriented infrastructure.

L0G1CA Presented at the Green Logistics Expo in Padua

The campaign was officially unveiled during the fourth edition of the Green Logistics Expo, an event dedicated to sustainable logistics that brings together businesses, industry operators and professionals to discuss innovation, investment and future developments.

Speakers included Sandro Innocenti, Chairman of the Logistics Working Group at Confindustria Assoimmobiliare, and Antonio Guarascio, a member of the same Working Group.

The discussion focused on the importance of improving public understanding of the industry and explaining how logistics makes a tangible contribution to society’s development.

This is particularly relevant at a time when logistics infrastructure is playing an increasingly important role in economic competitiveness, environmental transition and regional development.

AKNO Group and L0G1CA: Communicating the Future of Logistics Real Estate

For AKNO Group, joining L0G1CA means actively contributing to a collective communication initiative that recognises logistics real estate as a fundamental sector for the country’s future.

This decision is consistent with the Group’s vision of developing real estate infrastructure that combines functionality, innovation and sustainability.

Building the future of logistics means more than creating new spaces. It also means promoting a culture that recognises the value of the infrastructure, expertise and people that keep the economy moving.

Through L0G1CA, AKNO Group reaffirms its commitment to promoting increasingly responsible, efficient and sustainable logistics, helping tell the story of an industry that connects businesses, communities and people every day.
