CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON AKNO GROUP’S NEW CAROBBIO DEGLI ANGELI BUSINESS PARK
AKNO Group has started the construction phase of the new Carobbio degli Angeli Business Park, in the province of Bergamo. Developed for Barcella Elettroforniture S.p.A., a company belonging to Gruppo Marigliano, the project will deliver a new-generation logistics hub across a total site area of approximately 85,000 sqm.
Just a few months after the agreement announced last June, the opening of the construction site marks the beginning of the project’s execution phase. The new development has been designed to support the growth of Barcella Elettroforniture and the evolution of its distribution network across Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna.
A new Business Park worth over €50 million
The Carobbio degli Angeli Business Park has been conceived as a modern, flexible and scalable logistics infrastructure. The total investment exceeds €50 million, with the aim of creating a platform capable of meeting both the current and future requirements of the logistics sector.
Over 44,000 sqm of covered space and 6,000 sqm of mezzanine areas
In its initial configuration, the project will provide more than 44,000 sqm of covered space, together with approximately 6,000 sqm of mezzanine areas.
The masterplan has also been designed to allow for future expansions, enabling the logistics hub to progressively increase its capacity in line with the evolving operational and distribution requirements of Barcella Elettroforniture.
Its phased configuration will allow the new business park to adapt over time, making design flexibility one of the key features of the development.
Efficiency and sustainability for next-generation logistics
The design of the new Carobbio degli Angeli logistics hub focuses on building performance and on the requirements that define advanced logistics infrastructure today, thanks to the AKNO Energy division.
Energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, flow optimisation, technological integration and automation readiness have been incorporated into the project from its earliest stages.
Technology, automation and flow optimisation
These features are complemented by a modular approach to space planning, designed to enable the platform to evolve in line with the company’s requirements and technological developments within the sector.
The result will be a business park conceived not simply as a space for storage and distribution activities, but as an infrastructure capable of actively supporting process efficiency, business growth and innovation.

A logistics hub designed to evolve over time
In today’s logistics sector, the ability of real estate assets to adapt to changing requirements is becoming increasingly important. For this reason, the Carobbio degli Angeli project has been developed with a long-term perspective.
Flexibility and scalability at the heart of the project
The possibility of expanding the available spaces and progressively integrating new technological solutions will enable the new hub to respond to both current needs and future scenarios. Scalability, automation and flexibility are therefore integral features of the project.
The new Carobbio degli Angeli Business Park reflects this development model: high-performance logistics properties designed not only to meet immediate operational requirements, but also to maintain efficiency, functionality and value over time.
AKNO Group and Barcella Elettroforniture: from design to construction
With construction now underway, the collaboration between AKNO Group and Barcella Elettroforniture enters a new phase.
“With the start of construction, we are moving into the tangible phase of a project built around the current and future needs of logistics,” says Alex Nuhi of AKNO Group. “Developing a new-generation hub today requires a vision capable of integrating building performance, efficient flow management, sustainability, automation and flexibility. The Carobbio degli Angeli project has been developed around these principles, with the aim of creating a scalable infrastructure that can evolve over time while maintaining high levels of efficiency and value, even in response to future operational and technological changes.”
AKNO Group’s Business Park model
The Carobbio degli Angeli project represents another milestone in AKNO Group’s development of Business Parks and advanced logistics infrastructure.
Logistics infrastructure designed for the future
Through integrated expertise in the design, development and construction of real estate assets, the Group creates solutions that combine operational requirements, construction quality, technological innovation and a strong focus on sustainability.
With the new Carobbio degli Angeli Business Park, this approach translates into a logistics platform designed around the specific requirements of Barcella Elettroforniture while remaining ready to support the company’s long-term evolution.
The start of construction therefore marks a new step in the development of the project and in AKNO Group’s strategy of creating modern, efficient business parks designed for the future of logistics.
